Dockery Lake – This is a US Forest Service recreational area near Suches offers camping, picnicking, fishing and hiking in the Chattahoochee National Forest year-round.

The day-use area has picnic sites with fire rings and grills. Fishing is the attraction for this lake. It is stocked by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Game and Fish Commission.

There are two hiking trails:

Lakeshore Trail is an easy trail that is heavily used. It is about 1/2-mile that loops around Dockery Lake.

Dockery Lake Trail is a 3.5-mile trail that is moderately difficult. It goes up to the Appalachian Trail and partially in the Blood Mountain Wilderness Area. It crosses several creeks and streams and climbs to Miller Gap.
